SEMA 2008: Not just for guys!

July 14th, 2008 by admin

I want to take a moment to talk about an upcoming convention in Las Vegas. SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) is an annual custom car and truck show/market where pretty much anybody who is anybody in the auto world comes to show-off and sell their neatest after-market products.

I love this show because it showcases the newest products out there. You will also find plenty of booths that sell fashionable car clothing and apparel (all sorts of car themed t-shirts, Cadillac purses, Ferrari bags, etc.). For 2008, Car Crazy Chicks will have a booth and will be selling an enormous line of car bags and purses. If you can think of a classic car, Kristie at Car Crazy Chicks has made a purse for it!

Thousands of people attend this gigantic convention (it will take several days to go through the whole thing (like the Luv!)). It is great to be around so many like-minded car enthusiasts. I highly recommend attending! Contact me if you need help registering.

Last year I could not believe how many gals were taking an interest to the SEMA show. If you are hesitant to go, don’t worry about feeling out-of-place; women love cars, be proud of it! I want a strong female attendance this year as well.

You have to register to get in and you technically need to have something to do with the auto industry. However, if you told them that you had intentions of creating an auto company and you were going to be a “buyer,” I am sure they wouldn’t be Fort Knox about it. Here are the cost details according to their site (SEMASHOW.com):

  • Before October 24 the fee for qualified Buyers and Nonbuyers is $15 on-line and $25 via fax or mail with the exception of Non-Exhibiting Manufacturers which is $200 per person.
  • After October 24, registrations will be available online and onsite only for a cost of $60 for qualified attendees with the exception of Non-Exhibiting Manufacturers which is $200 per person.
  • Non-Exhibiting Manufacturers are permitted two (2) registrants per company at a cost of $200 per person.
  • The convention is Tuesday, Nov. 4th to Friday, Nov. 7th 2008 @ the Las Vegas Convention Center (in Las Vegas). To register online click here. Let’s have a strong female showing this year!

My husband is selling his Yacht

    July 4th, 2008 by admin

I know you fashionable car owners are feeling the gas prices… It’s hurt the economy and so, as I’ve noticed, people are selling their possessions left and right. It can be a bit depressing, but have no fear. Everything will be back to tip top shape in know time. My husband works in Real Estate and so I’ve heard the worst of it. But he says that their will be a shortage of housing in a year or two and this will drive back the value of houses –so stay strong!

He is selling partnerships in his yacht because we don’t have the time (or money) to spend on it anymore. There will be 5 partners each sharing 10 weeks on the vessel. If you or someone you know would be interested feel free to click here: Yacht Partners or Yacht Condo Partners

A partnership costs 450,000$ and my husband will finance you. The yacht is based in San Diego, California. This seems expensive at first, but believe me, it is really a great price for what you get. Best of all, you don’t get the stress of having manage your own yacht–it is all taken care of for you.

Anyway, I know this is a bit of a stray from car clothing, but I just had to get it out there. I also know that I have not posted in a while…I am sorry! I’ll be back on the car clothing deals soon!

    Ford Mustang Totes

    February 22nd, 2008 by admin
    Ford Mustang Tote
Ford Mustang ToteI’m a big fan of this bag partially because it is similar to this website’s logo! But more than that, it is definitely a hot bag. If you own a Mustang then I can’t imagine a better all-purpose bag for your ride. The cowgirl image on the corner is reminiscent of the “running pony” theme of Mustang. It is hard not to think of an open convertible cruising down the interstate (R-66) through a barren summer desert…maybe that’s just me!

This bag definitely has enough utility to it- the zippered pocket on the outside and the pockets on the inside are convenient.

And ladies, the best part is that this Mustang Tote is only 32$…and free shipping!

    Ford Mustang Tote
Dark Grey Mustang ToteHere is the other available color. It is a dark Grey and gorgeous! It is also only 32$

    Cadillac Bags Extravaganza!! part I

    February 13th, 2008 by admin

I noticed that there has been a lot of interest in Cadillac purses. So, I decided to do a big spiel about all the Cadillac bags I can find. I say “bags” because we are not just limited to purses, oh no. We have Cadillac luggage, Cadillac satchels, Cadillac totes and clutches… oh my! So, this may take several posts, but I’ll try to list the most wonderful Cadillac accessories I can find.

Let’s first start with the larger bags:

Cadillac overnight bags in black and white.

SO HOT!!! I love these overnight bags (luggage). As you can see they come in two colors which are both very stylish. It is a larger bag, so you can throw in your clothing or car kit (for a truly stylish repair kit). The amazing thing is: only 48$ right now AND, for the moment, free shipping!!!!!! Click here to see more.

Cadillac large satchel. 4 colours available

With the two bags above I tried to capture some of the detail that is put in these bags-both inside and out. This particular satchel is available in 4 colors (black, brown, gray, and red). If you have a lot of stuff like most fashionable drivers do, then you’ll have need for this bag. Price comes in at 86.00$ and also ships FOR FREE! To view click here.

    Cadillac bowling bag

I feel like I could see a Harley woman on her hog with this bag! It is perfect for carrying large quantities of stuff and has a simple but elegant look to it. It also is reinforced and so very durable. It sells for 66.00$ and comes in silver or the above (black-ish). I prefer the black by far. When you click on this link you’ll be brought to a page where you can see more on this bag.

    Now on to the Totes:

    Cadillac tote bag

This is my favorite tote-bag because of its simplicity and size. It is large enough to fit all the things I somehow need to fit… Two colors available and it runs for 52.00$ and shipping is free (for the time being). Click here and you will be directed to a page where you can see more details.

    cadillac tote

This tote bag has a two-tone and tubed scheme. It is on the pricier side (72.00$), but it is because it is packed with detail. I truly enjoy little nuances in clothing and accessories I buy. It makes me feel as though there was thought and love put into the design- not just mass-quantity driven. I especially like things that no one will ever see (like the details on the insides of most of these purses that I have listed). Click here for this bag.

    Clear Cadillac tote bag
If you are the brave and confident type then you will like this tote. It is a clear Cadillac bag and so you must be willing to sacrifice privacy (or be careful what you put in your bag, if you know what I mean). Younger girls seem to like this bag…I personally need my privacy but if you’re brave then be my guest. It is stylish for all intents and purposes. It costs 68.00$ and comes in black, gold, and the above. The gold is pretty extreme, but the black is very nice. FREE SHIPPING. Click here for details.

This post is getting too long, so I will post more tomorrow!

    FASHIONABLE DRIVER CAR KIT

    January 11th, 2008 by admin

**Special Post** Top 10 things you need in your car for roadside emergencies **Special Post**

I know I know, this blog is supposed to be about fashion. However, I thought, as a service to the gals out there, I should do a special section on what tools you should always have in your car. I am tired of women not being able to perform simple repair tasks on their car. They are not that hard and they will save you time and money! So, this will be a woman’s emergency car kit guide.

Seriously though, I have had horrible trouble on the road before and been without the car tools I needed. It can also be very dangerous. So I am going to list some crucial tools ladies should never drive without. You should consider assembling this in a compact bundled kit:

    1. Hand-Charged Flashlight- Murphy’s Law states that if it is going to happen it is going to happen at night. It is not fun to be on the side of some Texas chainsaw-massacre road in the middle of the night and have no flashlight. It will be necessary for all repairs. Should be hand-charged so that batteries are not an issue
    2. Jumper Cables- This will be the most used item in your whole kit. These are used when your car (or another persons) has a dead battery and you need to restart it. This happens so often! For information as to what cables look like and how to restart a car/use jumper cables, click here.
    3. Mace/Pepper Spray/Gun- whatever your favorite method of defense is, I recommend having it in your kit. It is “piece of mind.”
    4. *Tire-Jack- This is what you use when you have a flat and need to change it for the spare. It is a device that allows you to lift one side of the vehicle so you can make changes to a tire. It is standard in almost every vehicle so it should already be there but make sure it hasn’t been removed. See owner’s manual for location and operation instructions.
    5. *Tire-Iron- This is what you will use to get the lug nuts off your tire’s wheel. The lug nuts hold the wheel to the car. and will need to be released…probably the hardest part of changing a tire. Again, this will be included in your vehicle and should be near the Tire-Jack…it is often used as the device with which you will operate the Jack. Make sure this is still there.
    6. Tire-Guage- This is a device which measures the pressure in a tire, usually in PSI (pounds per square inch). The max psi is given on the side of every tire.
    7. Rain Poncho and Gloves- Murphy’s law again…
    8. Tool Kit- Just a small set of tools always comes in handy. Screwdriver, several wrenches, pliers, etc.
    9. Road Flares or Reflective Triangles-You will put these out in a staggered fashion down the road. Longer distances are better for highway. They allow cars to slow and use caution before driving near your emergency.
    10. Duct-tape and Bungees- problem solver galore. If you can’t fix it…tape it and hold it together…or something like that.

*You don’t need to purchase these, they should already be in your car

If you’d rather just buy a pre-made kit, here is a great one that pretty much includes everything I just listed:

    Black Cadillac Purse (shoulder bag)

    January 6th, 2008 by admin

I posted a photo of my Cadillac purse (or shoulder bag…whatever you want to call it) as an opening to this blog. Before I get carried away with other products I wanted to tell you more about it and where I got it. Here are some more photos: An image of a cadillac purse- black leather

The picture is a little misleading because on the left it is the front of the Cadillac purse for sale with silver trim whereas the back picture is the bronze/brown variation. The color combination really depends on your taste. The black leather and silver trim gives it a nice retro feel (kinda Rockabilly). After all, black paint and silver (chrome) was a very standard color combination on Cadillacs of the 50’s… And you thought they only came in pink!

Here is the Cadillac emblem which is located in the middle of the purse and is surely dazzling. Cadillacs scream class, this purse does likewise. Keep in mind that this is the brown leather/bronze trim combination. Black and Silver is also available.

The purse retails at about $52.00 and you can buy it by clicking here.

    Sexy Ferrari Purses

    January 2nd, 2008 by admin

Inside of the ferrari clutch bag

I found two very hot purses (one is a handbag and the other a clutch bag). They are truly to the height of fashion, but won’t run you that much money. Rather than follow fads and buy Gucci and Prada purses for ridiculous prices, I believe in starting my own trend and letting others follow. That is what this site is about. I will only list items which are fashionable and affordable. Don’t get suckered into believing that expensive products mean better quality (or fashion!). Cheap is not good either…but that leads us to “reasonable.” Which is what I think these products are.

    So, on to the purses

An image of two ferrari clutch bags. One in black and one in red. They are both very fashionable

The first purse is a clutch bag which comes in two colors (black or red). On both bags, there is a tan leather trim with Gucci Nylon body. The “SF” stands for Scuderia Ferrari which was the original name of the Ferrari automobile company concerned with racing. For trivia, “Scuderia” means stable in Italian and “Ferrari” was the last name of the founder of the company: Enzo Ferrari.

The Ferrari clutch bag is about 10 inches long and 4.75 inches high. IT IS MADE BY PUMA so the quality is good and there is a 60 day warranty against any manufacture defect.

This clutch bag is 45.00 dollars and ships for free. It is a great deal that you should take advantage (considering the after holiday 70% off sale).

Click here for more info on the Puma Ferrari Clutch Bag

    Now on to the handbag…

    larger Ferrari purse image

Here we have a full-size Ferrari purse (about 14 inches long and 10 inches high) with the same Gucci Nylon and leather combination. It is also by Puma and comes with the same quality and warranty as the previous clutch bag.

An image of the Ferrari handbag being modeled

What I like about both of these bags is that you don’t have to own a Ferrari to have one. They are cute on their own accord and not ridiculously expensive.

This bag runs for $75.00 and, the last I checked, shipping was free!

Click here if you want to buy this bag.
